The former because it is not sticky enough and the latter because the fiber makes the cake harder to digest.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Ingredients:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">180 g (1 cup) of short-grain rice<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">360 g (1.5 cup) of water<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">1 tbsp of sugar (white, brown, fructose&#8230;)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">1\/2 tbsp of salt<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Nutrition information:<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The base recipe using white sugar has 688 calories. 146 g of carbohydrates, 1.62 of fat and 14 of protein.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Preparation:<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Wash the rice under running water for a couple of minutes, while stirring it with a spoon.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Put the rice, water, sugar and salt in a large pot. Place it over high heat, do not cover, and wait until it comes to a boil.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Once it boils, put the lid on, turn the heat down and let it cook for 20 minutes keeping the lid on at all times.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When the time is up, take off the lid and check if the rice is cooked well. It should not be overly dry or wet, nor should it be sticking to the pot.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Now you have the foundation for making rice cakes. If this is the way you like them, pour the mixture into a 15&#215;15 cm (6&#215;6 inches) mold or pan previously lined with plastic wrap. Mash the avocado and toast chopped nuts in a frying pan. Set aside.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Cook the rice following the steps from the first recipe.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Once the rice is ready, place it in a bowl. Now you have two options:<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Add the eggs, chopped nuts and mashed avocado to the rice, stir well and pour the mixture into a 15&#215;15 cm (6&#215;6 inches) mold or baking pan.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Make sandwich-like rice cakes, as we&#8217;re going to explain below.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To do this, divide the rice into two equal parts. Pour one into the mold or baking pan. Spread it evenly and press firmly.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Spread the avocado on top. Then add the egg and chopped nuts. Press lightly.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Then spread out the rest of the rice on top and press down firmly.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Put the mold in the fridge for 24 hours.
