Alfonsina Strada emerged as a pioneering figure in Italian cycling at a time when women were largely excluded from competitive sports. Her determination and passion allowed her to build a unique athletic career. Her participation in the men’s Giro d’Italia in 1924 remains a singular event in sports history. Supported by respected cyclists such as Costante Girardengo, her story survives through written archives. This documentary explores her historical relevance and long-term impact on women’s cycling.
