"Beyond the Green Veil" explores the complex relationship between outdoor recreation and the logging industry. Michael Darling joins Chris Rubens and Timmy Taussig on a journey through the Selkirk Mountains and Vancouver Island’s coast, navigating ancient forests, hidden trails, and fragile ecosystems. Through encounters with local communities, forestry workers, and environmental activists, the documentary highlights the challenges of balancing recreation, conservation, and economic use. A thought-provoking film that examines our impact on nature and the importance of preserving inspiring landscapes.
