"namanu rruni – Albatross Island" (2018), produced by Rummin Productions, transports viewers to a remote and seldom-seen corner of Tasmania, exploring the lives of the endemic shy albatross and the long-term conservation work of marine biologist Dr. Rachael Aldermen, who has been visiting the island for over a decade as part of a 30-year monitoring program. The film, shot in cold, often wet and always windy conditions, features the team living self-sufficiently in a large cave. The documentary was honored with awards such as Best Film and Best Story at the Stories in September Festival 2018 (Tasmania), Best Wildlife Conservation Film at the World Conservation Film Festival (NY) 2018, Best Short Film at the New York Wild Film Festival 2019, Finalist at Banff Mountain Film Festival 2018, and Official Selections at the Environmental Film Festival Australia, Bruny Island Bird Festival, Winter Film Festival (Treviso), New Zealand Mountain Film Festival, and Kraków International Green Film Festival.
