Ouray 100 (2018) is a documentary that follows ultrarunner Avery Collins during the 2016 Ouray 100 Mile Endurance Run—one of the world's toughest trail races. After being sent off course early and finding himself near last place, Collins pushes through extreme weather and high-altitude terrain over the next 90 miles in a daring bid to reclaim his position in the race. The film is set in the rugged San Juan Mountains of Colorado, a landscape known for its technical trails and unforgiving conditions—where the race marches through nearly 42,000 feet of ascent, at an average elevation approaching two miles above sea level.
