Good Morning Miyazaki presents the surf scene of Japan’s Miyazaki prefecture through the perspective of Canadian brothers Matt and Thomy Westcott, filmed throughout 2012. The film combines fast-paced surfing with a strong visual style. It captures a wide range of conditions, from relaxed single-fin sessions to powerful typhoon-generated beach break barrels. Rare footage from the late 1970s provides historical context for the evolution of surfing in the region. The film also features a Bali segment, following Miyazaki surfers as they ride the waves of Keramas, expanding the geographical scope of the project.
