Hondar 2050, produced by Cesare Maglioni, examines marine litter and plastic accumulation along the Basque coastline and the Cantabrian Sea. The narrative follows artist and surfer Carlos Mares Arrola as he investigates how waste reaches the ocean. Filmed in Biscay, Gipuzkoa and Lapurdi, and featuring contributions from organizations such as the Spanish Association for Marine Litter, Surfrider and AZTI, the documentary connects scientific insight with artistic interpretation. It presents marine pollution as a shared responsibility rooted in everyday consumption.
