The film documents a high-altitude traverse along the Haute Route Himalayenne, following a route that connects high mountain passes, glaciers, and remote Himalayan valleys. The journey unfolds under extreme altitude conditions, variable temperatures, and prolonged isolation. The work examines logistical planning, progression through complex terrain, and physiological adaptation to altitude. Nicolas Bossard’s direction structures the technical monitoring of each stage and the decisions that determine the expedition’s progress.
