This film documents Thomas Boury’s attempt to set a fastest known time on the GTMC, a demanding 1,400-kilometer mountain bike route crossing the French Massif Central with nearly 27,000 meters of elevation gain. Riding a rigid singlespeed mountain bike, the challenge is intensified by harsh terrain conditions caused by heavy rains and storms prior to the attempt. Beyond the athletic achievement, the film offers an intimate portrait of a father observing his son endure an extreme physical and mental ordeal.
