“Odyssey” documents a journey across some of the UK’s most representative traditional climbing routes, from the sandstone of Northumberland to the sea cliffs of Gogarth. It follows James Pearson, Hazel Findlay, Hansjörg Auer and Caroline Ciavaldini as they assess and tackle complex lines in varied environments. The documentary examines the technical, logistical and decision-making aspects required for traditional climbing in diverse terrain. Through an observational approach, it provides a clear view of the skill level and commitment demanded by this discipline.
