Today, the fourth stage of the 2026 Vuelta a Burgos Women decided the overall classification with a spectacular finish at the legendary Lagunas de Neila. 🚴♀️ The stage started in Gumiel de Mercado, with Sara Martín and Federica Venturelli leading the breakaway of the day. 💥 Venturelli dropped before the penultimate climb, while Sara Martín stayed at the front until the descent before the start of Neila. ⛰️ Ahead awaited the decisive final 6 kilometers at 9%, the perfect setting to decide both the stage and the general classification. 🔥 The first major acceleration came from Ashleigh Moolman-Pasio, reducing the group of favorites. ⚡ Then the FDJ–Suez team made the race even harder with Amber Kraak and Evita Muzic, until Muzic and Yara Kastelijn managed to break away alone at the front. 🚴♀️ Behind them, the chasing group lost momentum and riders such as Usoa Ostolaza and Mireia Benito fought their way back into contention. 💥 In the final two kilometers, Kastelijn launched the decisive attack, dropping Muzic to win solo at Lagunas de Neila and also secure the overall victory. 🏁 Evita Muzic finished second and Usoa Ostolaza completed the podium after an impressive comeback.
