Stage 4 of the 2026 Vuelta a Burgos took the peloton from Palazuelos de Muñó to Briviesca over 178 kilometres, once again ending in an exciting mass sprint. The breakaway of the day featured Josh Burnett (Burgos Burpellet BH), Javier Ibáñez and Nil Aguilera, both riding for Caja Rural-Seguros RGA. The three riders formed the day's escape before being caught with 17 kilometres remaining. From that moment, the sprinter teams took control of the peloton to set up a fast finish on the wide streets of Briviesca. The final kilometre was chaotic, with constant position changes and several lead-out trains fighting to put their sprinters at the front. In the closing metres, Matthew Brennan once again showed his incredible speed to win by the narrowest of margins and claim his second stage victory at the 2026 Vuelta a Burgos. #VueltaABurgos #MatthewBrennan #Briviesca #JoshBurnett #CajaRural #BurgosBurpelletBH #Sprint #Cycling #Ciclismo #Highlights
