In this episode, the crew of The Silk Snow travels along the Pamir Highway into Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan, facing harsh high-altitude winter landscapes. The focus is on nomadic herders, their adaptation to extreme cold, and the preservation of ancient traditions. Fulvio Mariani and Mario Casella highlight how isolation in the mountains has kept these ways of life largely unchanged since Marco Polo’s time.
