In the opening episode of Wild Racers, teams arrive in Burnie, Tasmania, exploring the host city and receiving their course briefing 24 hours before the start. They must carefully organize the supplies for the days ahead. The race begins with a demanding 17 km ocean kayak stage along Bass Strait, followed by a 20 km trek with skeet shooting. Next, they tackle 20 km of mountain biking towards the caving section, where endurance and focus begin to create gaps between teams. Participants must adapt to extreme conditions, from frigid waters to rugged mountainous terrain, while facing challenges that require coordination, strategy, and exceptional physical and mental stamina.
