In this episode of Wild Racers – Tasmania, teams confront the demanding first day of the race. The stages of caving, mountain biking, and trekking combine physical and mental challenges that test both endurance and strategy. The course features a 1 km cave section, 50 km of night mountain biking over extreme terrain, and a 60 km off-trail trek. The 8 km kayak leg on Lake Macintosh pushes competitors to the limit of human endurance. As night falls, participants begin to experience hallucinations called "Sleep Monsters," preparing them for the stages yet to come in this adventure race.
