In this first episode of Yooper Tours, Alex Maier embarks on the North Country Trail during the summer. The sandstone cliffs and beaches of Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore highlight the beauty of Lake Superior at the start of his solo journey. The episode emphasizes the trail’s first “hidden treasures” while exploring the spiritual connection and introspection that solitude in nature provides. Breathtaking scenery and personal reflections shape the documentary’s tone.
