ANTI-PIRACY LEGAL NOTICE OF SIROKO TV

1. Our commitment to creativity and copyrights

At Siroko TV we believe that sports, adventure and audiovisual culture deserve to be told and shared with respect for those who create them. Therefore, Siroko Solutions, S.L. is actively working to make the Platform a space where the efforts of athletes, directors, producers and content creators are protected and recognized.

Audiovisual piracy directly harms those who make a living from storytelling: from the film crew shooting an expedition in the Andes to the small producer documenting a local community. When content is disseminated without authorization, it not only violates the law: it also discourages the future creation of such content and deprives its authors of the resources to continue working.

For this reason, Siroko TV maintains an active policy of prevention, detection and removal of content that infringes copyright or any other intellectual or industrial property rights.

2. Regulatory framework

The protection of copyright and other intellectual and industrial property rights on Siroko TV is governed, among others, by the following laws and regulations:

  • Royal Legislative Decree 1/1996 of 12 April, approving the consolidated text of the Spanish Intellectual Property Act.
  • Spanish Trademark Act 17/2001 of 7 December.
  • Regulation (EU) 2022/2065 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 19 October 2022 relating to a Single Market for Digital Services (Digital Services Act).
  • Spanish Law 34/2002, of 11 July, on Information Society Services and Electronic Commerce.
  • United States Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512), where applicable to users and content connected to the U.S. market.

3. User responsibilities

By using Siroko TV, each user undertakes, clearly and unequivocally, to:

  • Not to upload or share content for which they do not hold the relevant rights or the necessary authorisations.
  • To respect the trademarks, logos, trade names and other distinctive signs of third parties.
  • To truthfully identify the authorship of the contents published and not to attribute other people’s works.
  • To cooperate with Siroko TV by reporting any content that may infringe the rights of third parties through the channels made available for this purpose.
