Episode ten focuses on the physical and mental demands of the first 24 hours, a decisive phase where experienced teams aim to control the race early on. The challenge begins with a kayak leg in the icy waters of Milford Sound, followed by a long mountain bike stage through rugged terrain. The route then moves onto the Elington River, where slow currents increase the difficulty. Strategic choices and sustained endurance start to shape the overall standings.
